About The Position

Direct and supervise shipping/receiving personnel to ensure timely shipments are made and product is accurately received while maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and site
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • 2 years of experience formal leadership position

  • Associate's degree
  • 2 years of experience in plastics or fabrication environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees, including auditing, addressing unsafe behaviors and conditions, timely reporting safety incidents, enforcing safety-related policies and procedures, and conducting any needed training.
  • Help coordinate outbound shipments.
  • Ensure deliveries are scheduled and completed based on available and anticipated inventory and order promise dates.
  • Address and communicate quality issues to internal team and external customers.
  • Ensure raw materials are received and accurately placed into inventory.
  • Ensure warehouse and materials are well-organized.
  • Confer with plant personnel and other departments to review activities and operating reports to determine changes in schedules.
  • Maintain a high degree of plant floor visibility throughout the shift.
  • Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.
