About The Position

Requirements

• Associates degree, upon hire
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the discipline or three (3) years' experience as a security officer or 1 year experience as a Lead officer
• Driver's License: NE, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days
• Basic Health Care Security Officer, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating the daily activities of the security team, ensuring the safety and security of our premises, patients, staff, and visitors.
• Manage and mentor security personnel, assign patrols and posts, respond to incidents, enforce security policies, and conduct investigations, all while maintaining a visible and reassuring presence.
• Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations.
• Assigns day-to-day activities; directs the functional and technical job performance of team members.
• Allocate and direct staffing needs to meet patients, unit, and departmental needs, and collaborate with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met.
• Manage performance including: setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognize, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our Commitments using corrective action.
• Performs security responsibilities required of Security Officers (see Security Officer Job description).
• Maintains expertise in primary visual monitoring systems including computer-linked security equipment, CCTV, CCURE and other electronic control and alarm systems.
