About The Position

UPMC Home Health is hiring a full-time supervisor for their Scheduling department. This position is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm, with occasional weekends. This position is on-site at the West Mifflin Home Health Office and will require travel to multiple locations -Seven Fields, Erie, and Venango. Plans, staffs, and supervises the activities of the scheduling department for a large home health organization. Additionally, provides the clinical knowledge in order to effectively and efficiently schedule the multidisciplinary home health teams, ensuring that the delivery of quality patient care services is done in the most effective manner. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies based on agency policies, procedures, and processes.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and five (5) years relevant experience, OR Bachelor's degree and (3) years relevant experience
  • Act 34

Responsibilities

  • Takes ownership/responsibility to develop solutions, find answers, and overcome obstacles to achieving desired results.
  • Collaborates with Clinical Supervisors to resolve any issues related to scheduling.
  • Identifies, develops, and participates in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency that will enhance the quality of services we provide.
  • Proven ability to facilitate change.
  • Provides all aspects of supervision of staff in the Scheduling Department.
  • Ensures efficient utilization of personnel. Oversees recruitment. Completes performance appraisals. Maintains contact with Human Resources, payroll, and Work Partners to facilitate personnel issues per agency policy and the law.
  • Analyzes reports and communicates issues to the Clinical Director.
  • Performs duties and job responsibilities in a fashion that coincides with the service management philosophy of the organization towards patients, visitors, staff, peers, physicians, and other departments within the organization.
  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new employees.
  • Focuses on customer service and continually strives to perform the duties of their job in a manner that will result in optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Monitors adherence to the budget and has overall responsibility for appropriate staffing and productivity.
  • Performs payroll duties (Kronos).
  • Collaborates and coordinates with Team Leaders/Clinical Supervisor to improve continuity of care through adequate staffing and the effectiveness and efficiency of the scheduling process.
  • Oversees scheduling of multidisciplinary clinical staff to assess that staffing meets patients' identified needs, ensuring patients receive the right service at the right time.
