About The Position

Provide strong leadership to the sanitation team; responsible for enforcing policies and procedures related to food safety and hygiene. Ensure all team members are following the sanitation standard operating procedures to maintain the manufacturing equipment clean. Maintain detailed records of all sanitation activities and maintain inventory of cleaning tools.

Responsibilities

Supervise the sanitation team in safe working practices including chemical handling, PPE and OSHA requirements.
Understand the manufacturing process and equipment/parts design in order to ensure proper completion of equipment sanitation and efficient startups.
Problem solve with other departmental teams, with an open-mind and spirit of co-operation in a positive and professional manner.
Establishes standards and procedures for work of staff; will be required to lead by example.
Assists in the development, organization, and participation of staff in departmental training programs.
Maintains records and daily logs.
Prepares periodic activity and reports for review.
Maintains and verifies completion of Master Sanitation Schedule.
Accountability for departmental stock and inventory control.
Periodically inventories supply and requisitions and distributes supplies and equipment; places orders as required.
Inspects and evaluates cleanliness and physical condition of facilities and submits report to the Sanitation Manager of recommendations for corrective action.
Ensures supply rooms are stocked and maintained in a neat and orderly manner.
Perform sanitation tasks on the floor as needed.
Flexible scheduling.
Available if needed 24/7 for business emergencies.
Flexible to perform any other duties deemed necessary by management.
