About The Position

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented 3rd Shift Sanitation Supervisor to lead and oversee cleaning operations across our facilities. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene. Our Sanitation Supervisor must comply with all plant GMP, SQF Quality and Safety, Food Safety and Bio-Security procedures and ensure completion of essential job functions to maintain integrity of food safety program and product quality. They will inspect, evaluate and train sanitation personnel to ensure cleaning standards are met and prevent product contamination. Supervises the safe and timely cleaning of the facility and equipment in accordance with the company, customer, certification and regulatory requirements and supports facility compliance with records verification. Our Sanitation Supervisor partners with other areas of the operation and external vendors to coordinate and continuously improve the facility Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) to the highest levels.

Requirements

Knowledge of HACCP, OSHA, Food Safety, and GMP requirements
Two plus (2+) years of supervisory responsibility for sanitation processes and employees in a food manufacturing environment
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Possess a demonstrated understanding of basic food manufacturing sanitation methods
Possess a demonstrated proficiency in sanitation procedures required in various production plant areas or hospital sanitation protocols is highly desirable.
Sanitation process development, documentation, and improvement.
Should include CIP and COP Sanitation training/ certification
Basic proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
Ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Lead positive employee relations programs throughout the organization
Coordinating and preparing the plant to be audit ready every day
Assuring cleaning procedures are maintained and updated
Conducting plant wide and departmental mandated training
Planning cleaning schedules and proper allocation of resources (labor, supplies, equipment and time)
Conducting inspections (GMP, Safety, Food Safety,) and cleaning verifications
Assuring Sanitation inventory levels are managed to meet targets without impeding plant objectives
Continually monitor the effectiveness and adequacy of cleaning activities via cleaning validations.
Oversight of plant sanitation crew(s)
Verification of sanitation effectiveness
Conduct visual inspections (pre-op) of cleaned equipment and areas
Maintenance of sanitation documents
Monitor and schedule of Master Sanitation Schedule
Provide timely response to production sanitation needs
Work with production supervisors to address issues related to sanitation
Work with chemical supplier to develop appropriate training
Monitors sanitation cleaning procedures.
Instructs and coaches employees to on good safety and health practices and how to properly use protective equipment.
Develops new sanitation procedures and protocol.
Ensure proper safety procedures are used by sanitation employees.
Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local food safety regulations including, but not limited to, 21 CFR and all relevant company food and people safety policies and procedures
