About The Position
L3Harris is seeking a Supervisor, Project Manager to join its Chula Vista, California team. The role oversees and manages internal and/or external operational aspects of ongoing projects within a program. The position works independently under general direction on non-routine tasks requiring judgment and initiative, with standard processes provided and peer review potentially required. Guidance and direction decrease as proficiency increases. The supervisor also provides guidance and assistance to support-level employees and interfaces with project managers, planning, the project team, and line management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; alternatively, a graduate degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience as a project lead or supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Review project status and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Provide guidance and assistance to support-level employees.
- Interface with other project managers, planning, the project team, and line management.
