About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a Supervisor, Project Management to join its Chula Vista, California team. The role oversees and manages internal and/or external operational aspects of ongoing projects within a program. The supervisor reviews project status and budgets, manages schedules, prepares status reports, addresses project issues, and develops mechanisms to monitor progress and support intervention and problem solving. The position works independently under general direction on non-routine tasks, provides guidance and assistance to support-level employees, and interfaces with project managers, planning, project teams, and line management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; alternatively, a graduate degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience as a project lead or supervisor.

Responsibilities

Review project status and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develop and implement mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Work independently under general direction and guidance on non-routine tasks requiring judgment and initiative; follow standard processes, with peer review when required.
Provide guidance and assistance to support-level employees.
Interface with other project managers, planning, the project team, and line management.
