About The Position

The Supervisor Production is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. The role requires an understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing. The supervisor oversees production operations and team members, supports quality and safety practices, and works with other supervisors to solve problems.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a meat manufacturing environment.
High school diploma.
Strong communication skills.
Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Prior supervisory experience.
Education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to travel 1–5 trips per year.

Responsibilities

Check daily production orders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
Ensure every position is filled before the production line starts.
Oversee Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
Ensure machinery performs to the highest standard possible.
Ensure workstations pass USDA inspection.
Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
Ensure accurate shipments, inventory rotation, and proper product coding.
Know and communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
Encourage Team Members and help build a strong team.
Perform human relations functions, including training, retention, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
Oversee processing operations and work with other supervisors to solve problems.
Keep records of reworked or returned product.
Provide ongoing education on the importance of quality.
Perform other responsibilities as needed.
