This is a working supervisor role where the Supervisor, Plant Operations performs hands-on maintenance and EVS work alongside the team as part of routine operations. This role provides direct, on-the-ground supervision of the assigned-shift Maintenance team while ensuring housekeeping and Environmental Services (EVS) operations across the hospital and designated auxiliary buildings meet CMS, infection control, bloodborne pathogen, and hazardous waste standards. This role coordinates assigned-shift maintenance work orders and quality control, serves as the primary point of contact for assigned-shift maintenance and EVS issues, and supports hospital laundry operations as needed. The Supervisor educates staff on safety and regulatory protocols, works alongside staff to complete maintenance and EVS tasks directly, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Environmental Services (EVS) maintains a clean, sanitary, and aesthetically pleasing environment across all patient care areas, following established safety, cleaning, and infection control protocols. The department manages linen supplies, meeting and campus setup, housing for on-call and traveling staff, and hospital recycling. EVS operates 24/7 to support the hospital and its affiliates. Plant Services maintains the hospital's infrastructure, including safety, fire prevention and protection, telecommunications, equipment management, loss prevention, and grounds maintenance. The department oversees electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and power plant/boiler operations for a 61-bed hospital, 15 acres of grounds, 12 houses, two medical office buildings, and the hospital vehicle fleet, and manages hazardous communications, MSDS compliance, and related regulatory standards.
