About The Position

Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, continually growing healthcare organization. The Supervisor Patient Access directs and oversees registration operations for multiple patient types and employee shifts within the Patient Access department. The role assists the Manager with the overall direction and control of registration functions, operations, and personnel, and ensures quality and productivity standards are met. The supervisor works closely with the Business Office to coordinate insurance verification and admission pre-certification, pre-registration, collections at or before admission, and patient billing inquiries.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or associate degree in Business plus two years of registration experience or equivalent receivables/management experience; alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent plus five years of registration experience or two years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to train and direct employees.
• Ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated knowledge of billing, insurance verification, and collection procedures.
• General knowledge of computers and computer systems.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Prior supervisory experience.
