About The Position

The Supervisor, Operational Controls leads a team supporting process safety and operational-control activities across GTM Operations. The role provides leadership and technical oversight for Asset Management of Change (AMOC), event evaluation and notification, process hazard reviews, and Operational Readiness and Assurance. It strengthens consistent execution, governance, tools, and organizational learning across GTM Operations. The supervisor provides day-to-day leadership and development for direct reports, governs and improves AMOC processes and tools, and leads complex, higher-risk AMOCs from scoping through implementation verification. The role supports process safety expectations, process hazard assessments and reviews, event analysis and notifications, and project turnover readiness. It also develops operational performance metrics, dashboards, reports, and narratives, and leads continuous improvement initiatives while promoting a strong safety and learning culture. Work is primarily in an office or hybrid office environment, with periodic travel to operating locations, project sites, and meetings across GTM. Field visits may require standard personal protective equipment and work around pipeline, compression, storage, or related facilities. Occasional extended hours may be required for significant events, urgent notifications, complex changes, operational issues, or reporting deadlines.

  • Working knowledge of management of change across development, risk review, authorization, implementation, verification, documentation, and closeout phases.
  • Experience supporting event evaluation, event notifications, causal or event analysis, corrective actions, and organizational learning.
  • Experience developing or administering performance metrics, scorecards, dashboards, management reports, or data-quality controls.

  • Experience with regulations, records, and audits, including internal audits and work with external regulators such as PHMSA, CER, FERC, and state and local regulators.
  • Experience with AMOC workflow configuration, business-process design, data governance, or enterprise performance-reporting solutions.
  • Project management, continuous improvement, assurance, and change-management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement sustainable governance improvements across geographically distributed operations.

  • Support governance of the Asset Management of Change (AMOC) process, including requirements, roles, decision rights, quality expectations, assurance activities, and consistent application across GTM Operations.
  • Lead complex and higher-risk AMOCs from development and scoping through risk review, approvals, implementation readiness, post-implementation verification, and effectiveness follow-up.
  • Improve the usability, integration, data quality, structure, and reporting capability of AMOC tools, templates, workflows, dashboards, and guidance.
  • Translate process safety expectations into practical operational controls, consistent execution practices, and measurable outcomes.
  • Provide governance and oversight for Process Hazard Assessments and other process hazard reviews, including preparation, facilitation support, documentation quality, action development, and follow-through.
  • Evaluate process safety events and potential process safety events for consistent classification, escalation, reporting, trend analysis, and systemic improvement opportunities.
  • Support GTM event analysis and event notifications, ensuring timely and accurate information, stakeholder engagement, and follow-through on findings and actions.
  • Provide governance and support for Operational Readiness and Assurance activities before and through project turnover to Regional Operations teams.
  • Support development and reporting of GTM Operations performance metrics, including definitions, data governance, validation, reporting, trend analysis, and leadership insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, management reports, and performance narratives connecting process safety, AMOC, event, and operational data to risks, priorities, and improvement actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to process safety support, AMOC governance and execution, event learning, notifications, and performance measurement.
  • Promote a safety and learning culture through timely escalation, disciplined risk-based decisions, effective challenge, knowledge sharing, and incorporation of lessons learned into standards, tools, and work practices.
