About The Position

This position is responsible for providing guidance for the implementation of required changes, initiated by either the state or district, affecting student achievement. The role requires excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to articulate the needs, interests, and accomplishments of the district to a wide range of audiences. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to ever-changing priorities.

Requirements

  • Florida Department of Education certification in Educational Leadership.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of PreK-12 administrative school/district leadership experience.
  • Reading endorsement or reading certification (or working towards it to have it within 90 days of employment).
  • Knowledge of evidence-based reading research.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Florida Educational Leadership Standards.
  • Ability to work well with and plan instruction for adult learners.
  • Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to ever-changing priorities.
  • Ability to provide guidance for implementation of required changes, initiated by either the state or district, affecting student achievement.
  • Must submit to a Level 2 background check pursuant to Florida State Statute 435.04 and be found eligible by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
