The Maintenance Operations Supervisor reports to the General Manager of Maintenance and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating aircraft maintenance activities at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). This includes determining aircraft placement and identifying when servicing at remote locations is required. The role acts as a central point of coordination between JFK Local Maintenance, Maintenance Control, Maintenance Planning, Station Operations, and Dispatch, ensuring clear communication, alignment of priorities, and efficient execution of maintenance operations. Through active collaboration with these departments, the Maintenance Operations Supervisor directs workload distribution, aircraft placement and parking, Minimum Equipment List (MEL) application, and the determination of in-service and out-of-service aircraft. The role oversees the coordination and communication of maintenance issues with appropriate Technical Operations resources, including Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and local Line Maintenance leadership, for aircraft both on and off the gate. This ensures operational readiness while maintaining compliance with JetBlue policies, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, and safety standards.
