At Ryder, the Operations Supervisor is a key part of a fast-paced team, driven to succeed and empowered to develop their operations and managerial career within an essential industry established in 1933. This role assists the Operations Manager/Senior Operations Manager with the operations and personnel for a specific shift and location. The Operations Supervisor may oversee various employees including Technicians-In-Charge, Customer Service Coordinators, Technicians, and Service Employees. Key responsibilities include achieving results, meeting business objectives, and fulfilling labor requirements. The supervisor ensures customer needs are met while balancing financial, operating, quality, safety, and asset targets. This position manages location performance against metrics to meet or exceed assigned objectives and will be cross-functionally trained to provide backup support within the shop. Adherence to all Ryder Maintenance Operations policies and procedures is required. This role is considered a developmental position, preparing incumbents for the Operations Manager role, with opportunities for career advancement and internal promotion based on performance, offering continuous on-the-job experience and a long-lasting career.
