About The Position

The Supervisor, Inventory Control oversees and maintains warehouse inventory by supervising inventory-related activities and ensuring accurate handling and storage of products. This role directs and monitors inventory employees, conducts regular inventory counts, and resolves discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy. Occasional business travel by automobile and airplane may be required.

Requirements

• College degree plus a minimum of 3 years of warehousing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in quality assurance management or inventory control.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated ability to analyze inventory data and perform complex mathematical calculations for inventory management.
• Cold storage experience.
• Food industry experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AS400 Warehouse Management Systems, and RF technology.
• Forklift license, CPR, and First Aid training are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Advise associates on proper care, preservation, handling, storing, maintenance, and shipping of products.
• Train associates in equipment operation safety and general warehouse operations.
• Assign and direct the work of inventory employees and monitor performance to maximize efficiency.
• Conduct regular inventory counts, including quarterly cycle counts, full physical inventories, and customer-required counts, and record results.
• Review and resolve inventory discrepancies, such as lost or damaged inventory, and ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
• Maintain and update inventory records and discrepancies in the Warehouse Management System, and communicate inventory status to management and customers as needed.
• Analyze inventory data and recommend improvements to inventory layout and management practices.
• Perform other essential duties as applicable and assigned.
