About The Position

As a Ground Operations Supervisor, you will lead Warehouse Associates and Leads in daily warehouse operations. You will develop staff through coaching and training, set a standard of operational excellence, and help ensure the team succeeds through values-based leadership. The role is also responsible for accurate reporting, scheduling, cross-functional communication, and efficient, safe processing of sort and launch packages. The position requires working onsite during scheduled shifts; occasional off-site work is subject to manager discretion. Minimal travel is required.

Requirements

At least 1 year of previous management experience in logistics, operations, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency with technology platforms and tools relevant to logistics operations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to team members and driver partners.
Willingness to complete a comprehensive background check.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, as operational needs require.
Ability to stand for the duration of a shift.
Ability to move boxes, bend frequently, and regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in hot or cold temperatures and in environments with loud noise and fumes.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, train, and develop warehouse team members.
Plan and prioritize team and business initiatives, including continuous improvement with identified milestones.
Assess operational needs and coordinate cross-functionally to support safe, seamless operations.
Schedule shifts to align with operational hours, business needs, and projected volume.
Help ensure on-time delivery and meet expectations of customers, clients, crowdsourced drivers, and employees.
Maintain accurate reports and support effective cross-functional communication.
Ensure sort and launch packages are processed efficiently and safely.
Lead the team using values-based leadership to achieve operational KPIs and metrics.
Partner cross-functionally to support the success of the operation and organization.
