About The Position

The Supervisor of General Maintenance at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital oversees personnel and the building and grounds maintenance and repair of systems and equipment. The role includes managing preventive maintenance programs and supervising building and grounds operations to help keep facilities safe, functional, and ready to serve the community.

The position proactively partners with operations managers to coordinate template designs, ensure appropriate maintenance, and address questions and solutions, including system template standards. It works with scheduling designates to ensure schedules reflect documented guidelines and attends specialty departmental meetings to align templates with operations and educate staff on template standards and processes. Work is typically performed in an office environment. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with 40 scheduled hours per week.

Requirements

• Graduate from a specialty training program.
• At least 5 years of skilled labor experience.
• At least 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Computer literacy.
• Group problem-solving skills.
• Organizing skills.
