About The Position

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, the Gaming Supervisor coordinates and assists with the creation of a multitude of accounting activities including revenue reconciliation, audit preparation and General Ledger activities. Additionally, the Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Gaming Audit and Accounting Department. The Supervisor also ensures proper completion of daily Gaming Audit and Accounting Functions, timely and accurate reporting of Gaming Revenues.

Requirements

  • Two to four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in related supervision position or five years of gaming and audit experience.
  • Ability to perform critical analysis and manage wide range of information.
  • Operational knowledge of Konami Slot System and Casino Cash Trac systems.
  • Ability to delegate, manage manpower and organize complex projects and establishes priorities consistent with SMGHA and department/gaming objectives.
  • Able to communicate to both, guests, and fellow team members, professionally and positively.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Windows Office applications.
  • Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification, specifically a Nevada Gaming license.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operation of the Gaming Audit and Accounting Department.
  • Provide leadership and training for Gaming Audit and Accounting Staff.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily audit procedures and recording of gaming revenue.
  • Evaluates existing daily audit and accounting/auditing procedures and proactively seeks opportunities to improve both efficiency and quality of the accounting/audit function.
  • Establish and execute audit checklist standards.
  • Ensure audit anomalies, revenue and cash variances are properly investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Slots, Tables Games, Soft Count, Serrano Club and Cage Management in development and revision of internal controls and audit procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by department leadership.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
