About The Position

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, the Gaming Supervisor coordinates and assists with the creation of a multitude of accounting activities including revenue reconciliation, audit preparation and General Ledger activities. Additionally, the Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Gaming Audit and Accounting Department. The Supervisor also ensures proper completion of daily Gaming Audit and Accounting Functions, timely and accurate reporting of Gaming Revenues.

Requirements

Two to four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
A minimum of two years’ experience in related supervision position or five years of gaming and audit experience.
Ability to perform critical analysis and manage wide range of information.
Operational knowledge of Konami Slot System and Casino Cash Trac systems.
Ability to delegate, manage manpower and organize complex projects and establishes priorities consistent with SMGHA and department/gaming objectives.
Able to communicate to both, guests, and fellow team members, professionally and positively.
Proficiency in Excel and other Windows Office applications.
Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification, specifically a Nevada Gaming license.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operation of the Gaming Audit and Accounting Department.
Provide leadership and training for Gaming Audit and Accounting Staff.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily audit procedures and recording of gaming revenue.
Evaluates existing daily audit and accounting/auditing procedures and proactively seeks opportunities to improve both efficiency and quality of the accounting/audit function.
Establish and execute audit checklist standards.
Ensure audit anomalies, revenue and cash variances are properly investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Slots, Tables Games, Soft Count, Serrano Club and Cage Management in development and revision of internal controls and audit procedures.
Other duties as assigned by department leadership.
Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
