It also became a popular location for production companies to shoot movies. More than 500 films, documentaries, commercials, and TV shows have been shot in and around Catalina over the years, especially in Two Harbors on the island's west end. To this day, descendants of William Wrigley Jr. still own the Catalina Island Company and carry on his vision to create a world-class island resort. JOB SUMMARY The Food and Beverage Supervisor oversee daily front of house operations to ensure exceptional guest service, compliance with company standards, and efficient team performance. This role supports management by supervising staff, maintaining operational standards, and assisting with scheduling, training, and service execution.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years restaurant experience
• 2 years experience as a lead or supervisor
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labor regulations
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Experience with POS systems
• Conflict resolution and guest recovery skills
• Scheduling and labor management experience
• California Food Handlers Certificate (completion at time of hire)
• RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate (completion at time of hire)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff during assigned shifts
• Ensure high standards of guest service, food presentation, cleanliness, and safety
• Assign and monitor staff duties, including opening and closing procedures
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching or restaurant employees
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
• Address guest concerns and resolve service issues professionally and promptly
• Assist management with scheduling, timekeeping, and labor controls
• Maintain proper POS procedures
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth operations
• Complete shift reports and other required documentation
• Lead by example and promote teamwork, professionalism, and accountability
• Other duties as assigned
