About The Position

The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of daily operations of fleet maintenance within a designated area and ensures that fleet equipment is maintained in a safe and serviceable manner.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of three years of work experience.
Previous experience with fleet maintenance required.
Proficient analytical thought process and problem-solving capabilities required.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including communicating with employees, customers, and suppliers in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
Valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, driving record within policy guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Two years supervision or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervises operations, ensuring company policies, procedures, and applicable DOT and OSHA regulations are followed.
Ensures that preventative maintenance programs are being followed at all locations.
Ensures accuracy of documentation generated by employees/vendor shops for all maintenance activities.
Coordinates with all functional areas to ensure that equipment needs are met.
Ensures all repairs are performed in a cost-effective manner and identifies warranty opportunities.
Assists subordinates in making decisions concerning efficiency of shop operations.
Ensures that parts inventories are maintained at correct efficiency levels.
Ensures proper disposal and documentation of waste stream items and that all vehicles are prepared for transfer or disposal as needed.
