About The Position

This position manages the production and delivery of high-quality feed to Tyson growers at the lowest possible cost while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The supervisor maintains a daily drug inventory for FDA compliance, obtains daily driver reports to ensure DOT compliance, and manages personnel in the Housekeeping and Preventative Maintenance departments. The role also coordinates production schedules and related inventories, holds monthly safety meetings to address issues in the Mill and Trucking operations, plans the budget quarterly, and keeps upper management informed. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

This position supervises personnel within a single department or work unit who perform similar or interrelated tasks. Travel is 1 to 5 trips per year. The successful candidate must be able to perform the job’s physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation. The position is designated as 2nd shift.

Requirements

• Specialized knowledge in a field such as accounting, data processing, or electronics, normally acquired through two years of college resulting in an associate degree or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills; may require knowledge of the Tyson Business Computer System.
• Supervisory ability to oversee a group of personnel in a single department or work unit performing similar or interrelated tasks.
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Three or more years of experience preferred.
