About The Position

SpaceX is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to lead facilities operations supporting more than 1,000 residents and critical Starship operations. The role oversees maintenance and services across housing, employee lodging, food and beverage venues, recreation facilities, a private school, launch and support facilities, and other site assets. The supervisor leads a team of maintenance technicians and trades professionals, manages third-party vendors, and plans site improvement and construction projects while maintaining safe, comfortable living conditions and minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency diploma.
• At least 3 years of professional experience with facilities management.
• At least 1 year of experience leading a team or project.
• Willingness to travel to Starbase, Texas, and to remote Moon Corps sites on critical projects, with travel up to 85%.
• Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support for emergencies and critical operations.
• Must meet SpaceX's stated U.S. citizenship, immigration, or export-authorization requirements under ITAR.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
• Budget management and vendor negotiation skills, with a record of cost optimization.
• Experience in multi-family housing, hospitality, or large-scale community or resort operations, such as cruise ships, campuses, or remote sites.
• Expertise with asset management software and building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, generators, and fuel systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• High attention to detail, strong focus on cleanliness and standards, and ability to work independently in dynamic, deadline-driven settings.
• Innovative problem-solving skills, anticipation of operational needs, and ability to drive efficiency in high-volume, 24/7 environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities operations, including general maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, janitorial, landscaping, waste management, and site improvements, to prevent unplanned disruptions for residents and critical Starship operations.
• Manage third-party vendors, enforce corporate standards, optimize contracts, and drive cost savings while maintaining service quality.
• Develop, plan, and execute strategic site improvement projects aligned with business goals.
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, and installations across housing, employee lodging, food and beverage venues, recreation facilities, and a private school.
• Design and implement a preventive maintenance program for launch and support facilities to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Monitor construction projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery without affecting ongoing operations or critical paths.
• Coach, develop, and inspire maintenance technicians and trades professionals.
• Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, remove blockers, and pursue continuous improvement.
