About The Position

The Environmental Services Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the environmental services and linen departments, ensuring work is completed in a timely and satisfactory manner. The position may include scheduling, employee relations, hiring, ordering supplies, and quality assurance. The supervisor also participates in duties related to patient needs and the functioning of the hospital environment, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
Three years of experience required.
No travel required.

Responsibilities

Ensure adequate and competent staffing for the department.
Assist with interviewing and/or hiring qualified staff and use appropriate management techniques to support employee engagement goals.
Maintain acceptable employee turnover within the area of responsibility.
Orient and train new staff and provide continued education for existing staff.
Ensure productivity levels meet standards.
Maintain adequate supplies and operate within budgetary guidelines.
Ensure departmental services meet customer expectations.
Participate in duties related to patient needs and the functioning of the hospital environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
