About The Position
The Supervisor, Data Center Critical Facilities provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigns tasks, monitors work frequently, and maintains team schedules and workflow. The role oversees semi-skilled support team members and manages personnel matters, including salaries, positioning, hiring and firing, reviews, coaching, and training. The supervisor plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources for data center projects and maintenance; executes routine tasks; works toward unit targets, typically against a weekly plan; provides input and guidance on budgets; and supervises overall site capacity. The role also oversees contractor work, assists with startup testing and documentation of problems, and coordinates on-site staff during incidents.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities

- Execute specified routine tasks and meet unit targets, typically against a weekly plan.
- Provide input and guidance toward the budget.
- Supervise overall site capacity.
- Oversee contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards.
- Assist with startup tests and document and report problems.
- Communicate and coordinate activities and on-site staff during an incident.
