About The Position

This position is part of a collaborative team used to evaluate the cardiovascular health of COPC patients, along with echo sonographers, physicians, RNs and nuclear technologists. The Supervisor Cardiac Testing will supervise staff at all locations and act as a resource to staff by addressing concerns and questions. They will train new staff on testing protocols and equipment, and assist the manager in completing daily schedules, billing-related tasks, and appointment scheduling. This role also involves keeping monthly department stats up to date, ordering supplies, monitoring troubleshooting of day-to-day problems, and acting as backup when the Manager is out of the office. Additionally, the supervisor will monitor the backlog of Holter monitor completion and perform other duties as assigned. The core duties of the role include prepping patients for stress tests by performing resting 12 lead ECGs, performing resting and exercise blood pressures during stress tests, monitoring the ECG for changes during the stress portion of the test under physician supervision, applying and scanning patient Holter monitors, applying event monitors, scanning and indexing reports into patient charts, participating in life-saving measures when necessary, and assisting in office responsibilities such as answering the phone, scheduling patient appointments, printing daily test schedules, and completing patient charts.

Requirements

  • Active Ohio Driver’s License with the ability to travel throughout COPC’s service area.
  • Strong clinical background
  • Computer literate, especially with Electronic Health System (EPIC)
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to cope well with change

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field
  • ACLS and BLS certified
  • Experience in another cardiac testing facility

Responsibilities

  • Prep patients for stress test by performing resting 12 lead ECG
  • Perform resting and exercise blood pressures during the stress test
