About The Position

Palo Verde Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Supervisor, Assessment and Referral for our Intake/Admissions Department. This role assures smooth and orderly processes for responding to Intake calls, referrals, and admission into the hospital. Responsibilities include assisting in management of the department, providing supervision for Intake Staff, crisis intervention, and responding to referrals appropriately. The position also involves assisting the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees, appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Daily administrative duties, assisting the Admissions Director with assigned tasks, and completing Intake Assessor and Admissions Coordinator duties as needed are also part of the role. The Supervisor will provide effective leadership within the Admissions Department and organize Admission staff to effectively and timely serve patients, families, and referral sources through the referral and Admission process.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree required in related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in an intake/admissions department in a healthcare facility (preferably behavioral health)
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse through the State of Arizona required or licensure by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Examiners as an LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT
  • Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray every 4 years thereafter.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance
