Supervisor, Analytics Implementation

Mile Marker•New York, NY
•$85,000 - $115,000

About The Position

Mile Marker is hiring a Supervisor, Analytics Implementation to own the data layer under Relay for clients. Relay is the company’s measurement architecture and measures more than $500MM in annual media spend. The role focuses on the tags, pixels, conversion setups, and data connections that feed Relay. Work may include building tracking for a direct-to-consumer brand launching on a new advertising platform or auditing and repairing an inherited tagging container for a bank while its compliance team reviews changes. This is a client-facing role on a small team. The Supervisor leads technical calls with client developers and writes implementation instructions for them to follow. The VP of Innovation & Strategy owns architecture and scope; this role owns execution. Responsibilities span measurement planning, implementation, remediation, data standards, client onboarding and tooling, documentation, and data governance. The position pays $85,000–$115,000 per year.

Requirements

  • Four to six years of hands-on analytics implementation experience.
  • At least two years of experience at an agency or consultancy managing multiple clients.
  • Previously developed a tracking plan or solution design document that a developer could implement without the author present.
  • Experience with regulated categories; bank and health-brand clients may involve CSP reviews and health-data restrictions.
  • Hands-on experience building Google Tag Manager containers from scratch and untangling inherited containers.
  • In-depth GA4 configuration knowledge and enough SQL understanding to compare BigQuery exports with the GA4 interface.
  • Knowledge of conversion APIs and enhanced conversions, including where hashing happens and why.
  • Working knowledge of Consent Mode and how consent platforms gate tags.
  • JavaScript and DOM knowledge sufficient to support a clean dataLayer.
  • Judgment to identify agent output that appears correct but is not.
  • Ability to write instructions that client developers can follow on the first read.
  • Comfort leading technical calls with client developers or compliance teams without a senior colleague present.
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams seamlessly.
  • Strong and timely communication skills across platforms.
  • Ability to navigate an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Server-side Google Tag Manager, ideally on Stape.
  • Funnel.io experience.
  • Shopify custom pixels and Liquid.
  • Apps Script or Python.
  • Adobe Analytics experience for clients that use it alongside GA4.

Responsibilities

  • Work with planning and execution teams to turn campaign KPIs into tracking plans that define measurable website actions and conversions.
  • Explain event meanings to planning and execution teams so they optimize toward the right signals.
  • Align tagging within an omnichannel framework to connect online tagged conversions with non-tagged offline touchpoints and create a complete view of the customer journey.
  • Build and audit Google Tag Manager containers and GA4 properties across client websites, including web and server-side implementations.
  • Implement conversion tracking for Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft, and other platforms, including Conversions API and enhanced conversions.
  • Ship changes through clients’ developers across the platforms they use.
  • Take remediation projects from audit through validated fix, with a plan the client approves line by line.
  • Validate every remediation fix at the network level before considering it complete.
  • Maintain campaign naming and UTM standards, including Google Ads automation that applies them.
  • Establish data connections into BigQuery and Funnel.io and check them with SQL.
  • Start work with new clients by requesting access and inventorying what is already firing.
  • Tell client IT teams what is blocking a tag and what changes are needed.
  • Document client setups, including which tags fire which conversions, so other team members can take over the work.
  • Write implementation instructions and handoff documentation for clients to retain after work ships.
  • Operationalize naming conventions and data standards within Funnel.io to ensure automated, clean data pipelines across marketing channels.
  • Partner seamlessly with cross-functional teams and communicate promptly across platforms.
  • Navigate a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
