The Agency for Human Rights (AHR) is seeking a highly experienced and equity-driven grants administration leader to serve as the Supervising Grants Administration Manager. This position is a senior-level analytical and managerial role responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the full lifecycle of complex, multimillion-dollar community grant portfolios with significant fiscal, operational, and policy implications. Reporting to the Director of Grants Administration, the 1825 operates with a high degree of independence and discretion, exercising judgment on matters with substantial financial impact, compliance risk, and public accountability. The position plays a critical role in institutionalizing sustainable grant administration systems, strengthening compliance and monitoring frameworks, and advising leadership on funding strategy, risk management, and performance outcomes. The Supervising Grants Administration Manager supervises professional grant staff, collaborates across City departments, and represents AHR in interactions with oversight entities. The role ensures that AHR’s grantmaking practices are transparent, compliant, analytically rigorous, and aligned with the department’s mission and Citywide equity goals.
