Supervisors work with the store management team, Operations teams, and external partners to gain the knowledge and support needed to meet business needs and achieve good results.

Requirements

  • Be willing to work a variable schedule; days, evenings, and every other weekend.
  • Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and be skilled in customer service.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Be able to lift a load weighing up to 23 kg (50 lb), alone or with the help of a colleague.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of experience as a supervisor or team leader is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Direct associates and encourage them to build relationships with customers and colleagues to provide exceptional customer service and generate gross sales while having excellent knowledge of merchandising and products.
  • Ensure sufficient staffing in the department or service to meet business needs.
  • Manage associate performance by offering development opportunities, communicating responsibilities and objectives, recognizing and rewarding their efforts, and providing continuous feedback.
  • Review numerous reports, including sales reports, and collaborate with the assistant manager to make recommendations to improve inventory, top-shelf organization, and related product merchandising to stimulate sales.
  • Ensure stock availability at all times and compliance with top-shelf organization plans.
  • Analyze, resolve, and appropriately report customer issues.
  • Communicate store sales, events, and promotional activities during daily and weekly department or service meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with and clearly communicate all safety and asset protection standards and protocols.
