About The Position

We are seeking an Interim Nursing Home Administrator for a temporary assignment of 1 month, with the possibility of extension. The facility is an 80-bed operation with views of the Monterey Bay. The Administrator will oversee the overall operation of the facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations. The role involves maintaining the highest quality of care for residents and fostering an environment that engages and motivates staff.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years’ previous experience in long term care environment, preferably as Administrator or Assistant Administrator
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college
  • Current unencumbered Federal and State Nursing Home Administrator’s license
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in union environment
  • Documented successful track record indicating a working knowledge of State and Federal regulations relating to nursing homes based on past Department of Health Services survey results
  • Specialization in healthcare administration or business administration

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall operation of the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards and regulations.
  • Ensure operations are in accordance with policies and procedures to assure the highest degree of quality care can be provided to residents at all times.
  • Create an environment that engages and motivates staff to give their best each day while providing the highest level of care.
