About The Position

McKesson Canada is looking for a dynamic and experienced Transportation Supervisor to oversee transportation operations within our warehouse. You will be responsible for managing a team of drivers and handlers, ensuring that deliveries are made in a timely and safe manner. You will also play a key role in optimizing transportation processes and reducing costs. This position requires daily support for internal and/or external clients outside of Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, this position requires mastery of English in writing and speaking. Please note that the number of positions requiring knowledge of the English language has been restricted as much as possible.

Requirements

College diploma: A combination of education and directly related experience may be considered
Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising transport teams.
In-depth knowledge of transport regulations, including DOT and CSA standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in a unionized environment.
Class 3 license.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Mastery of French and English (spoken and written).
Excellent knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the transport team, including route planning, task assignment, and performance monitoring.
Ensure safety and compliance with transport regulations, including compliance.
Manage transport-related emergencies and incidents, taking necessary corrective actions.
Optimize transport processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth transport operations.
Coach and support drivers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transport activities.
Develop and produce various reports
Follow the company's health and safety policies.
