About The Position

Summit Electric Supply is seeking driven, high-potential associates for its Summit Development Program. This program offers an accelerated career path in the $110 billion electrical industry, focusing on technical innovation. The program is designed to build a foundation over 18 months, preparing participants for various career paths within the company, including technical sales, logistics, and operations. The program emphasizes hands-on training, starting in logistics and warehousing, moving to the sales counter to deepen product knowledge and sales skills, and finally to the inside sales team to manage customer and supplier relationships. Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge of Summit's products, systems, processes, suppliers, and customers, while also engaging in group projects with other program participants.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about Summit, the electrical industry, and its customers.
  • Build a foundation in logistics and warehousing.
  • Deepen product knowledge and hone sales skills at the sales counter.
  • Work with customers and suppliers on the inside sales team to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Expand understanding of Summit's product offerings and business.
  • Master Summit's sales processes and systems.
  • Complete a rigorous training schedule covering products, systems, processes, suppliers, and customers.
  • Connect with other program participants to support each other and complete group projects.
