About The Position

As a Summer Student Camping Park Attendant, you are responsible for assisting with the seasonal operation and maintenance of designated provincial camping parks. This role involves infrastructure maintenance, grounds and equipment upkeep, customer service, monitoring park activities for regulation compliance, advising visitors of park regulations, processing financial transactions, and handling cash. The position also requires adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and Workplace policies.

Requirements

  • Currently in high school (minimum grade 10) or a post-secondary education program and returning to school in the Fall of 2025 or next applicable semester.
  • Possess a Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience in building and grounds maintenance; ride on mowers, push mowers, string trimmers.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and sanitation requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service training/experience.
  • Good general knowledge of local history and points of interest.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
  • Experience with internet, email, and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Advising visitors of park regulations and reporting non-compliance.
  • Using the computer-based reservation and registration system.
  • Processing financial transactions, cash handling.
  • Compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and Workplace policies, Procedures and all Safe Work Practices at all times when on duty.
