About The Position

Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring enthusiastic Softball Coaches for our summer camp sessions in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. We are looking for current and former softball players, collegiate softball athletes, travel ball coaches, high school softball players, and softball instructors who want to share their passion for the game while making a positive impact on young athletes. This is a great opportunity to get paid to coach softball, work outdoors, inspire young athletes, and build coaching and leadership experience. The role offers a Monday-Friday schedule and the chance to work alongside other athletes, coaches, and educators.

Requirements

• Softball playing experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work outdoors and stay active throughout the day
• Reliable transportation to Prospect Park
• Ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

• Experience coaching, instructing, or mentoring youth is a plus

Responsibilities

• Teach softball fundamentals including hitting, throwing, fielding, and base running
• Lead drills, games, and skill-development activities
• Work with campers ages 4–13
• Create a fun, energetic, and positive camp environment
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship
• Serve as a positive role model for young athletes
• Support daily camp operations and activities
