About The Position

The Lansing School District is seeking a Summer School Float Teacher for the 2026 Summer School program. This role involves providing instructional support across different locations or classrooms as needed. The Lansing School District serves over 10,000 PreK-12 students and is committed to providing an excellent education in a safe and nurturing environment. Requirements

  • Must be an internal applicant in the aligned bargaining unit to receive preference.
  • Must be available for the first half of summer school from 6/15-7/2.
  • Must be available for the second half of summer school from 7/13-8/6.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Thursday.
  • Must be able to work 8 weeks.
  • Must be able to work from 8 am - 2 pm.
  • Must be able to provide 6.5 hours of instructional time per day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional support as a Float Teacher.
  • Fulfill the role for the first half of summer school from 6/15-7/2.
  • Fulfill the role for the second half of summer school from 7/13-8/6.
  • Deliver 6.5 hours of instructional time per day.
  • Work Monday through Thursday.
