Summer Project Management Intern
About The Position
Marous Brothers Construction (MBC) is seeking self-motivated Construction Management Summer Interns for Summer 2022. MBC is a leading construction firm in the Midwest, offering integrated services for complete construction solutions. Interns will gain real-world experience and collaborate with various groups including Carpentry & Interiors, Construction Management, Multi-Family Housing, Design Build, and Special Projects. They will work with senior staff on job sites and in offices, learning about business ethics, total quality management, client relationships, and marketing styles.
Requirements
- Prefer juniors and seniors pursuing construction management related majors.
- Willingness to help with and learn a variety of tasks.
- Well organized, self-motivated, and positive demeanor.
- Willingness to collaborate with staff.
- Comfortable in diverse settings.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing.
Responsibilities
- Assist with records of all drawings and updates.
- Assist with distributing information and drawings to all necessary parties in a timely manner.
- Assist with receiving, reviewing, logging, tracking, and distributing RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and daily reports in the project management software.
- Receive, review, log, track, and schedule on-site material deliveries.
- Assist with establishing bids, project set ups, and project bidding.
- Perform other work as assigned.
