About The Position
We are seeking qualified applicants for temporary Instructional Assistants for our Summer Learning Program. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team that supports the efforts of making success possible for all Redmond students. Individuals selected will work to support the Summer Learning program with administrative assistant duties, individuals and/or groups of 1st-6th grade students attending Summer Learning and certified teachers. Instructional Assistants will be under the direction of licensed educators supporting students in activities and lessons designed to develop literacy and enrichment.
Requirements
- Hold a current IA position within the Redmond School District (K-12 grades)
- Experience building relationships with youth
- Commit to continuous professional growth
- Passionate for working with elementary age children
Responsibilities
- Support Summer Learning instructional lessons focused on literacy and/or enrichment
- Work with individual students in a classroom setting to support learning
- Work with small groups of students in supporting literacy
- Monitor/support student during transitions, meals, breaks and/or recess
- Before and after school supervising/monitoring of students
- Assist in administrative assistant duties for the overall support of summer learning
- Inventory and organize technology and instructional materials at the conclusion of summer camp
