About The Position

Earthjustice is seeking summer law clerks for its Florida Regional Program. This program focuses on protecting Florida's waters and wild places through legal action. The Florida Office advocates for public ownership and access to waters, defends the public's right to enjoy natural areas, supports communities affected by pollution, protects the Everglades, preserves wild lands and species, works to clean up waterways, holds polluters accountable, and promotes a clean energy future for Florida. Earthjustice, founded in 1971, has a strong history of achieving lasting environmental protections by using the power of law and partnerships to safeguard health, preserve nature, advance clean energy, and combat climate change. They collaborate with numerous groups and supporters on significant cases nationwide. This clerkship offers law students the chance to work closely with attorneys on case development and litigation strategy, potentially drafting legal documents, conducting research, developing legal theories, gathering evidence, and attending client meetings and court proceedings. The program also includes seminars on environmental issues, networking opportunities with environmental groups, and a job interview workshop.
