Earthjustice is seeking law students for summer law clerk positions. The Northwest Office, established in 1987, focuses on preserving the unique natural resources and environment of the Pacific Northwest through campaigns to protect old-growth forests, promote salmon recovery, improve air and water quality, protect Puget Sound, stop fossil-fuel infrastructure projects, protect farmworkers from pesticides, ensure a just transition to clean energy, and respond to climate change. Earthjustice, founded in 1971, uses the power of law and partnership to protect people's health, preserve natural places and wildlife, advance clean energy, and combat climate change. Summer law clerks will work with attorneys on case development and litigation strategy, potentially drafting pleadings and briefs, conducting legal research, developing strategy and legal theories, gathering evidence, and attending client meetings and court proceedings. The program also includes seminars on environmental issues, interactions with environmental groups, and a job interview workshop.
