About The Position

This is a 10-week internship program commencing Summer 2027, located in Miami, FL, providing valuable experience in the real estate industry. Interns will work within various Asset Management Departments, including CMBS Performing Loans, CMBS Loan Workout, Real Estate Asset Management, and Collateral Surveillance. Responsibilities will involve performing qualitative and quantitative analysis, evaluating real estate transactions, recommending resolution strategies for loans, assessing and managing real estate assets, and monitoring risk factors associated with CMBS bond investments. The program aims to offer hands-on experience in different facets of real estate asset management.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate Junior, first year MBA student, or 1L/2L in law school
• Passion for real estate
• Highly analytical and collaborative
• Strong work ethic and organizational abilities
• Proficiency in Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to relocate to Miami, FL for the summer

Responsibilities

• Performing qualitative and quantitative analysis on various real estate transactions, including leasing matters, property sales, property management changes, and hotel franchise agreements.
• Presenting conclusions from analysis to the team’s approval committee.
• Recommending resolution strategies for non-performing loans such as loan modification, foreclosure, or forbearance.
• Analyzing owned properties to determine optimal holding periods and market values.
• Conducting market research and evaluating cash flow projections of CMBS loans.
• Monitoring risk factors associated with properties underlying CMBS bond investments.
• Leading annual RE-Underwriting initiatives of CMBS loans.
