About The Position

We are looking for a self-starter with an interest in local government and affordable housing policy and programs. This internship will provide hands-on local government experience while working alongside a high-performing and energetic team with a diverse work portfolio. The intern will be empowered to take on meaningful projects related to Housing and Community Development’s strategic initiatives. The Housing and Community Development Department is committed to talent development and provides opportunities for interns to build a portfolio of technical skills and experiences to help advance their careers. Temporary positions do not offer Town benefits. Temporary employees are limited to working 950 hours in a 12-month period. All Town employees must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Assisting with quantitative and qualitative research
Assisting with data collection, analysis, and management
Providing project management support
Assembling department reports and communications
Conducting surveys
Attending department meetings and events
Assisting with some administrative work including data entry tasks, filing, copying, etc.
