About The Position

Gracious Hospitality Management is expanding its operations to its newest project, 550 Madison, and is seeking to hire dynamic and experienced team members for the Summer 2026 Events Internship. This internship offers comprehensive on-site training for qualified candidates. The 550 Madison project is an ambitious, multi-level, 15,000-square-foot dining destination within the iconic Sony building, featuring three distinct concepts: COTE Korean Steakhouse, Chimera (an all-day multi-bar and dining concept), and Sushi Yoshitake (an intimate sushi restaurant led by Chef Masahiro Yoshitake). Designed by Rockwell Group, 550 Madison aims to redefine immersive dining in Midtown Manhattan. The Events Intern will be responsible for operational, analytical, and administrative tasks within the Group Dining Sales & Events department, serving as a liaison between the Event team, clients, and vendors. Responsibilities include supporting event planning and operations, producing invoices and reports, and ensuring project deadlines are met.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in creating documents and spreadsheets using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint and Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Effective communicator of information in writing and visually.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage internal and external correspondence.
  • Advanced typing, note-taking, recordkeeping, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of GHM brand, culture, and product.
  • Available to work weekends, nights, and holidays as the business dictates.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Director of Events and Events Manager.
  • Assists with events planning, administration, operations, financial analysis, and market research.
  • Liaises with clients on event details.
  • Communicates event details to Operations and Culinary teams and supports in set up, execution, and client follow up and event close out.
  • Attends meetings and takes minutes.
  • Types, formats, and edits reports, documents, and presentations. Print all menus, place cards, cocktail cards and other materials as necessary for all events.
  • Inventories event supplies & materials. Place orders as directed.
  • Enters data, maintains databases, and keeps records.
  • Schedules appointments, maintains event calendars, sends reminders, and performs other administrative organizational tasks.
