About The Position

InterSystems is offering a paid summer internship in software development based in its Boston, Massachusetts office. Interns work with developers and mentors on real-world challenges, complete an individual software development project, and build technical and professional skills. The program includes training on InterSystems products and business lines, formal project mentorship, and networking with peers and staff through organized social events. The 12-week program runs from June 1 through August 20, 2027. It includes three weeks of training and a nine-week project. Interns must attend in person at the Boston office, participate in training, and present their project to senior leadership and full-time staff at the end of the program. Successful interns may be considered for future internships or full-time employment after graduation.

Requirements

Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program.
Be available to work in person at the Boston, Massachusetts office from June 1 through August 20, 2027.
Participate in all training sessions required for the project.
Have experience coding in one or more languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, JavaScript, AngularJS, or JSON, or similar.
Demonstrate technical curiosity, creativity in addressing complex technical challenges, a collaborative mindset, flexibility in an evolving work environment, and initiative to build a technical foundation for a career.

Nice To Haves

Study in Computer Science, Physics, Math, or a similar STEM discipline.

Responsibilities

Complete a nine-week software development project, in addition to three weeks of training.
Participate in training sessions needed to successfully complete the individual project.
Create a presentation about the project and present it to a panel of senior leadership and InterSystems full-time staff.
Work collaboratively with developers, mentors, fellow interns, and InterSystems staff.
