About The Position

Marsh Agency is hiring a student intern for its 2027 Summer Internship Program. The role is based in Spokane or Yakima, Washington, and requires in-person work Monday through Friday. Relocation expenses are not offered. Interns gain hands-on experience by working with a variety of teams and functional departments, with exposure to client service, risk management, operations, sales, business analytics, and other areas. They contribute to projects addressing real-world business problems and receive mentorship, training, resources, and professional development. The program also includes national and regional classes and opportunities to meet industry partners and build a professional network. Interns provide support to directors, sales executives, and client relations staff to advance new business and client retention. They collaborate across teams to support departmental goals and Marsh Agency’s brand, follow organizational policies and established workflows, document and maintain files, ensure quality control, and maintain confidentiality. The internship pays $18.85 per hour. The posting also lists an applicable base salary range of $34,100 to $62,200 and says the position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Partner with teams on creative and diverse projects to further develop and fulfill Marsh Agency’s brand.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support the mission and vision of the department to which the intern is assigned.
Provide specific support to directors, sales executives, and client relations staff to enhance new business and retention opportunities.
Build positive relationships with colleagues and work closely with a manager, mentor, and other interns.
Participate in national and regional classes introducing the industry and organization.
Cultivate industry relationships and grow a professional network through meetings with industry partners.
Follow organizational policies and procedures, sales and service standards, and established workflows.
Ensure quality control through proper file documentation and maintenance.
Maintain confidentiality.
