About The Position

The PACCAR Parts Summer Internship Program offers an opportunity to learn about PACCAR through a work assignment in IT Applications. Interns are integrated into division and department meetings, activities, and events to build an understanding of PACCAR. The role provides an opportunity to contribute to the organization, enhance a resume, and present internship accomplishments to fellow interns and senior management. PACCAR Parts interns have visibility within the company.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in college or a recent college graduate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivation and an energetic personality.
• Team-oriented.
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well independently or with others.
• Strong PC skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Junior or senior standing in college is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support IT Applications projects by assisting with requirements gathering, process understanding, documentation, and day-to-day application support for PACCAR Parts.
• Learn and navigate PACCAR systems and tools; assist with basic troubleshooting, issue triage, and coordination with the IT team to resolve user requests.
• Perform functional testing for application changes, including creating and updating test cases, executing tests, logging defects, and confirming fixes.
• Develop a foundational understanding of AI concepts and how AI and automation may be applied to improve business processes.
• Participate in department and division meetings and internship activities to build understanding of PACCAR’s business and culture.
