About The Position

The IT Intern provides essential support for departmental functions under general supervision, including operational and administrative activities related to the intern’s academic major. The intern works independently on special projects assigned by the functional leader, assists with implementing functional strategies, contributes to team goals, and proactively plans and supports departmental deliverables.

The internship may involve software development supporting operations and logistics teams, web development and .NET programming, or IT helpdesk work. Helpdesk activities include taking calls and deploying and maintaining devices such as handhelds, tablets, and laptops. Projects will be identified based on departmental needs and may be similar to projects from previous years.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an applicable degree program and have coursework corresponding to the internship.
• Have strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills.
• Have effective presentation skills.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to interact and collaborate professionally with a variety of individuals.
