About The Position

Marsh is hiring Summer Interns for its Risk Consulting business through the Marsh Early Career Program. This 10-week hybrid internship is based in Chicago, Dallas, or Houston, is anticipated to start in June 2027, and requires working in the office at least three days per week. Interns work under close supervision alongside experienced consultants, learning how technical analysis and engineering principles are applied to client challenges. The program includes a cohort community, a dedicated program team, learning and development opportunities, mentorship, exposure to senior leaders, networking, and a summer capstone presentation to colleagues and senior leadership. Exceptional juniors may be offered the opportunity to join Marsh’s full-time program after completing the internship. Candidates will indicate preferred practice areas: Property Risk Consulting (PRC) and Specialty Risk Engineering (SRE). PRC uses engineering and technical expertise to assess and mitigate risks to clients’ physical assets and operations, reduce the likelihood and impact of property losses, and strengthen resilience. It is best aligned with students studying Fire Protection and Safety, Energy, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or related technical disciplines. The PRC opportunity described is in Chicago. SRE helps clients understand and manage property and natural catastrophe risks through engineering analysis, loss estimates, risk improvement strategies, and technical reporting. The team evaluates exposures and develops strategies to strengthen resilience and reduce the overall cost of risk. It is best aligned with students studying Geospatial, Energy, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, though students in other engineering disciplines with relevant technical interests are encouraged to apply. SRE opportunities are in Chicago, Dallas, or Houston.
