About The Position

The Summer Intern gains experience working with project teams in estimating, executing, and controlling engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. The internship curriculum covers construction projects from a project management perspective, construction management structure, project organization, document control systems, safety and culture, site coordination, project scope and documentation, quality control, scheduling, budget and cost control, RFIs and submittals, and on-site training when applicable.

ARB, Inc. provides maintenance, construction, fabrication, and EPC services throughout the United States. The company self-performs and delivers turnkey construction and EPC services in the energy infrastructure industry, including gas processing, product storage and transportation, chemical and petrochemical, power generation, renewables, refining, and mining.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Demonstrated interest in construction.
• Ability to travel to project sites in California and another state if required.
• High degree of integrity and work ethic.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders worldwide.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and an understanding of Bluebeam.
• Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Work with project teams on estimating, executing, and controlling EPC projects.

• Complete on-site training when applicable.
