About The Position

The Summer Intern will support Free Form Fibers' business operations through participation in projects and initiatives aligned with their academic background and assigned functional area. This provides hands-on experience in a growing advanced materials and manufacturing environment, with opportunities to contribute across engineering, research and development, manufacturing, operations, commercial activities, or other business functions based on organizational needs. Working collaboratively with team members, the intern will apply academic knowledge, develop practical skills, and contribute to projects that support the Company's operational and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university - required
  • An academic background relevant to the internship opportunity and available project(s) - required
  • Proven curiosity and a genuine interest in learning and applying new concept - required
  • A history of critical thinking, problem solving, and work through unfamiliar challenges - required
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage assigned responsibilities - required
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills - required
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of individual assignments - required
  • Willingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and learn from others - required
  • Exhibits adaptability and comfort working in a growing organization where priorities and projects may evolve - required
  • A working knowledge of standard computer applications and the ability to learn new tools and systems as needed - required

Responsibilities

  • Support projects and initiatives that contribute to Free Form Fibers' technical, operational, or business objectives
  • Work alongside experienced team members to solve real-world problems and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with research, testing, data collection, analysis, documentation, or other project-related activities
  • Participate in day-to-day activities within your assigned functional area and gain firsthand exposure to how work moves from concept to execution
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and contribute ideas and a fresh perspective to the team
  • Prepare documentation, summaries, presentations, or other materials related to assigned projects
  • Take ownership of defined assignments and communicate progress, findings, and recommendations to your manager and other stakeholders
  • Participate in team meetings and other opportunities to learn about Free Form Fibers' technology, customers, operations, and growth
